A huge thanks from Special Olympics Colorado for putting on a spectacular show at the Summer Games Olympic Town, June 6, 2009.  You have such a high energy, highly talented group of trainers and dogs that entertained hundreds of spectators.  We really appreciate your time, energy and big hearts.

Thank you!

Dear K9s for a Cause,

Thank you K9s for a Cause!  The Salida High School Life Skills class had an AWESOME experience working with you from the very beginning to the all too soon end.  This event was a success in so many ways.  One, it was an incredible learning opportunity for the students.  As a teacher I am always striving to make sure what we are doing in my class has meaning and relates to each student’s life.  My students were so motivated to work on the computer to get the flyers done, use map skills and strategize the best way to deliver the flyers in our little town, put a PowerPoint presentation together, and of course practice working with Kinks and Michael DiLillo.  Thank you Michael for devoting so much time and energy to all the students!  This was one of those “times” they will NEVER forget.  Two, the actual fundraiser was a total success!!  We raised lots of money to do our “Life Skills” community and experiential activities.  Three, it was a wonderful event for our community.  I received so many calls and comments about how “cool” the show was.  Thank you again K9s for a Cause (people and canines) for putting on a spectacular show to benefit our Salida High School Life Skills class.

Sincerely,

-- Kelley Jones, Salida High School Life Skills Teacher

Dear K9s for a Cause,

Thank you so much for coming to Salida High School and putting on the dog show.  We raised a lot of money.  The money will go to training for the Special Olympics, community outings and our token economy.  We enjoyed working with Kinks.  We have never had the opportunity to work with a dog like Kinks.  You guys have very special dogs.  Thank you so much for putting on this fundraiser.

Sincerely,

K9s for a Cause,

For anyone who loves dogs, this is a great show.  For anyone who loves kids, this is a remarkable show.

As a parent of a wonderful special needs child, I was overwhelmed by the confidence and pride shown by the students throughout the performance.  The impact the practices had, the kindness shown to all, and the positive attitude for people the world deems “different” is something special that will last a lifetime for who had the privilege of sharing the day.

Peace Friends,

Debbie Quintara, proud mom of Shelby Stutts

I would like to express my thanks to both the trainer/owners and the wonderful dogs who performed at the 2008 Morrison Ciderfest. The two 30 minute performances were the highlight of our celebration. Children and adults were equally entertained by the complexity of the routines and the skills of the dogs and trainers. I can think of no better activity with as much appeal to persons of all ages and interests.

Since Ciderfest is a family activity, we especially appreciate the time taken to teach how to approach and safely become acquainted with a dog. The few minutes spent demonstrating this, passes along important safety information to children and adults and can only enhance the bond between people and dogs.

It is not often that an event entertains, teaches, and demonstrates how to have fun with animal companions in just a few minutes. Thanks for coming to Morrison and we hope you will return many times.

Sincerely,

-- Allen Williams, Mayor, Town of Morrison

My name is Serena Ritchie, Director of the before and after school program at Ben Franklin Elementary School. We love when the K9s for a Cause have come to visit our after school students. The dog owners, not only share their time and talents, but demonstrate loving care of animals with our students.
